What a Day on the 40 Sea Ray Actually Feels Like
Your Peek confirmation carries marina meet-up time and captain contact. You board ten minutes early. Lines cast off toward Government Cut and open Biscayne Bay with downtown towers ahead.
Guests spread across the forward sunpad while the hull moves. At anchor, the swim platform sits inches above turquoise sandbar water. The route passes Star Island rooflines and Venetian Island bridges. Golden hour returns with glass towers reflecting off the bay.
On the water: Biscayne Bay is part of Biscayne National Park, one of the largest marine parks in the U.S. National Park System — 95% water, rich with coral, sea grass, and migratory marine life visible from the swim platform at anchor. Boating conduct is governed by Florida FWC guidelines. MTWA captains train to those standards as a baseline.
Your Route on Biscayne Bay
Every 40 Sea Ray charter routes through protected Miami waters your captain knows by tide, wind, and season.
Government Cut & Open Bay
Lines cast off toward Government Cut. Downtown towers frame the bow as the hull clears the marina and opens onto Biscayne Bay.
Star Island & Millionaires’ Row
Low throttle past Star Island estates and Venetian Island bridges. Your captain holds the sightline for photos from the forward sunpad or flybridge-level deck height.
Sandbar Anchor Stop
On four-hour and longer charters, your captain drops anchor at a clear sandbar. The swim platform sits inches above turquoise water for a mid-charter swim.
Sunset Return
Golden-hour departures route back with the skyline behind your stern. Glass towers reflect off the bay as your group gathers on deck for the final hour.
Biscayne Bay sits inside Biscayne National Park — ninety-five percent water, with sea grass beds and migratory marine life visible from the swim platform at anchor. Your captain routes within Florida FWC boating safety guidelines on every departure.
Champagne, Food, and Your Group on the Aft Deck.
Birthdays, engagements, and corporate afternoons land here: champagne on ice, food spread across the stern table, and twelve seats with no strangers sharing your rail. Bring your coolers — ice is already aboard.
The 4-hour charter is the most-booked window for celebrations: enough time for a swim stop, sandbar anchor, and golden-hour photos before you return with the skyline behind your stern. Browse the full Miami yacht charter fleet if your party needs more deck space.
Drinks on the Sunpad. Skyline Behind Your Toast.
This is the moment guests book for: forward sunpad, open bay, downtown glass reflecting off the water as the sun drops. Two-hour sunset charters route specifically for this sightline from the bow.

Garmin Chartplotter. USCG-Licensed Captain at the Wheel.
Your captain runs routing from a full Garmin helm with live chartplotter, depth, and weather data — not guesswork. Andre or Franck holds a USCG Master credential and knows Biscayne Bay by tide, wind, and season.
Government Cut, Star Island, sandbar anchor stops, and sunset returns all route from this station. When Atlantic chop builds, your captain pivots to protected waters without cutting your charter short. Learn more about MTWA operations on the about page.
Cream Leather, Wet Bar, and Air Conditioning Below Deck.
When midday heat builds on the forward sunpad, your group retreats here without ending the charter. Cream leather lounge seating, galley kitchen, wet bar, private head, and Bluetooth audio keep everyone comfortable between swim stops.
This is the interior guests ask about before they book — real photographs of this exact hull, not stock renders. Pair your charter with water adventures in Miami when Peek lists jet ski add-ons for your date.

Everything You Need Before Departure
Marina Meet-Up
Your confirmation email includes the marina meet-up location, arrival time, and captain contact once your charter is reserved. Arrive at least ten minutes early.
Arrival Time
Arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled departure. Late arrivals reduce your charter time; your captain departs on schedule out of respect for all bookings.
What to Bring
Pack towels, sunscreen, sunglasses, photo ID, and your booking confirmation. Food and beverages welcome — soft-sided coolers only. No rolling ice chests.
Alcohol Policy
Guests 21 and older may bring alcohol with valid ID for verification. Soft-sided coolers only — no hard rolling ice chests permitted aboard. Ice is provided on the boat.
Kids & Families
Infants under 12 months are not recommended. Children under 12 on upper decks must wear USCG-approved life jackets while underway. Guests under 30 lbs need a parent-supplied properly fitted jacket.
Gratuity
Gratuity is not included in the charter rate. When your captain earns it — and they consistently do — a minimum of $50 per hour in cash is the MTWA-suggested starting point. Discretionary, always.
Cancellation
Cancellations must be submitted via email to Miamiwateradventures@outlook.com and confirmed in writing. Verbal requests or social-media messages do not constitute a cancellation. See the full refund schedule.

Why MTWA’s Safety Record Speaks Louder Than a Website Promise
Felipe built Miami Tours and Water Adventures on a single non-negotiable: every guest boards a boat captained by someone who is fully credentialed, deeply prepared, and professionally accountable.
-
USCG Master Merchant Mariner Credential
Every MTWA captain holds a U.S. Coast Guard Master Merchant Mariner credential, the federal standard for commercial passenger vessels. Credentials are verified through the USCG National Maritime Center — not self-reported by the operator.
-
Weather-First Operations
Your captain makes the final go/no-go call on every departure based on live sea state, wind, and forecast data. When Atlantic chop rises beyond safe conditions, the route pivots to the protected Intracoastal Waterway. FWC boating safety protocols are a minimum standard, not a ceiling.
-
Life Jackets & Guest Safety Protocols
USCG-approved life jackets are carried for all guests and are required for children under 12 on upper decks while underway. Children under 30 lbs require a parent-supplied fitted jacket. Infants under 12 months are not recommended for sport-yacht charters. Standards maintained in accordance with Florida FWC guidelines.

40 Sea Ray Sport Yacht — Charter FAQ
How many guests can we bring on the 40 Sea Ray?
The 40 Sea Ray accommodates up to 12 guests. The guest count shown in your booking summary at time of checkout is the governing limit. If your party is larger, consider the 46 Flybridge or the 62 Azimut for higher capacity and upgraded amenities.
Where is the marina meet-up for the 40 Sea Ray?
Marina meet-up location, arrival time, and captain contact are emailed in your booking confirmation after you reserve through Peek. Arrive at least ten minutes before departure with photo ID and the card used to book. Questions before you pay? Use our contact page.
What is included in the 40 Sea Ray charter rate?
Every charter rate includes your USCG-licensed captain, all fuel for your booked hours, ice for guest beverages, the forward sunpad, wide stern swim platform, climate-controlled lounge with head, entertainment system, and wet bar. The crew-deployed floating island is included subject to sea conditions. An optional jet ski add-on is available when listed on Peek for your specific date — it is not automatically included. Gratuity is not included.
What does the interior of the 40 Sea Ray look like?
The climate-controlled salon below deck features cream leather seating, a galley kitchen, wet bar, private head, and entertainment system. When midday heat builds on the forward sunpad, your group retreats to air-conditioned comfort without ending the charter.
Is the optional jet ski always available on the 40 Sea Ray?
No — the jet ski add-on is date-dependent and appears as a listed option on Peek when available for your specific charter window. If the add-on does not appear during your booking, it is not available for that date. Check the Water Adventures page for standalone jet ski options bookable alongside your charter.
How does gratuity work on a Miami yacht charter?
Gratuity is entirely at your discretion and is never included in the charter rate. Miami Tours and Water Adventures suggests a minimum of $50 per booked hour in cash, given directly to your captain. MTWA captains earn that standard consistently. Cash is preferred; plan accordingly before boarding.
What is the deposit and cancellation policy for the 40 Sea Ray?
A deposit is charged at booking — the specific amount varies by charter duration. Refund schedule: 100% refund if cancelled 7+ days before departure; 75% at 5 days; 50% at 72 hours; 25% at 48 hours; no refund within 24 hours. All cancellations must be submitted via email to Miamiwateradventures@outlook.com and confirmed in writing. Full terms at Terms & Billing Conditions.
When does online booking close for the 40 Sea Ray?
Online booking through Peek closes 1 hour before your scheduled departure time. In some cases, the booking window may also close at midnight the prior evening — check Peek for the live cutoff on your chosen date. Contact the MTWA team directly via the contact page or by phone at +1-305-772-9942 for same-day inquiries.
Can we bring food and alcohol on board the 40 Sea Ray?
Yes — food and beverages are welcome aboard. Ice is provided on the boat, so simply pack what you want in soft-sided coolers (no hard rolling ice chests permitted). Alcohol is permitted for guests 21 and older with valid photo ID available for verification.
