Miami Boats, Yachts & Jet Skis: How to Choose for Your Group
The right boat depends less on length and more on your group: how many people are coming, what you want to do and how long you want to be out. Here is our fleet, from a nimble private boat to yachts with a salon, plus jet skis and big-group options.

1. Start with your group
Get a firm guest count, including children. Grandparents may want shade and an air-conditioned salon. A group of friends may care more about deck space and a swim platform. Tell us about anyone who is nervous in the water or would rather stay aboard while others swim.
2. Meet the fleet
Boat and yacht prices are for the whole boat, not per person, and every boat and yacht trip is private with a USCG-licensed captain. Jet ski tours are shared with other guests; private jet ski tours need at least 4 jet skis. Jet skis are priced per jet ski.
| Boat | Guests | From | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Private Boat Tour | Up to 11 | $240 per hour, 2-hour minimum. See current rates | Easy sightseeing and swim stops, with a shade canopy and a cooler with ice and bottled water. |
| 40 Sea Ray | Up to 10 | $999 for 2 hours. See current rates | Best-value yacht. Bow sunpad, wide swim platform, air-conditioned salon with bathroom. |
| 46 Flybridge | Up to 12 | $1,399 for 2 hours. See current rates | Views. The only sport yacht in the fleet with an upper flybridge deck. A floating island comes out when conditions allow. |
| 48 Sundancer | Up to 12 | $1,399 for 2 hours. See current rates | Sun lovers. Our longest sport cruiser, with the biggest bow sunpad. |
Private Boat Tour
Simple and fun. A private boat for up to 11 guests with captain, fuel, a cooler with ice and bottled water, and a shade canopy. Great for small groups who want skyline views and a swim stop without paying for a salon.
40 Sea Ray
Sun on the bow, cool air below. Up to 10 guests, a forward sunpad, a wide swim platform and an air-conditioned salon with a bathroom and wet bar. A floating island comes out when conditions allow.
46 Flybridge
Climb to the upper deck and watch the bay open up below you. Up to 12 guests, with a bow sunpad, a swim platform and an air-conditioned salon with a bathroom and wet bar. A floating island comes out when conditions allow.
48 Sundancer
Stretch out on the big bow sunpad facing the open bay. Up to 12 guests, with a swim platform, an air-conditioned salon with a bathroom and wet bar, and a floating island when conditions allow.
Larger luxury yachts are also available on request. Compare everything on our Miami yacht charters page.

3. Add jet skis and water sports
Want speed? Our guided jet ski tours are a one-hour ride past Virginia Key, Downtown, PortMiami, Fisher Island and Star Island when conditions allow. From $210 per jet ski, not per person (see current rates).
- Ride solo or two-up, with a 385-pound combined limit. Fuel, instruction and safety gear are included.
- Tours are shared with other riders. Private jet ski tours need at least 4 jet skis.
- Every rider shows photo ID. Drivers born on or after January 1, 1988 need a Florida Boater Safety ID.
The Island Adventure Package puts a private boat tour, jet ski time and a Virginia Key snorkel on one charter for up to 22 guests. On some yachts a jet ski add-on shows up when you book, if it is available for your date.
Into tow sports? On the Wake Adventure, up to six guests tube, wakeboard and wakesurf behind a private sports boat, with personal coaching from professional athletes with many years of experience. From $340 (see current rates).
4. Groups of 13 or more: corporate and group events
Under U.S. Coast Guard rules, groups of 13 or more must sail on a Coast Guard-inspected vessel.
- Catamarans: the 78-foot catamaran hosts up to 115 guests, and 40-foot catamarans typically host 30 to 35. Captain and crew, an open premium domestic bar, light snacks, water toys, fuel and dockage are included. From $3,850 for 4 hours (see current rates).
- 80′ Solstice and 100′ Midnight Sun: for up to 45 and up to 120 guests, with catering planned with our team. Pricing on request.
Team outings, client receptions, holiday parties and big birthdays all fit here. See corporate and group yacht charters for a group quote.
5. Pick your hours
Your hours cover the whole trip, from the marina and back. Two hours is a skyline cruise past Star Island. Four hours adds time at anchor to swim. Six to eight hours is a slow day with long stops. Our guide to Miami boat tour sights shows what fits in each, and the Miami sandbar trips guide helps if a sandbar is the goal. From Rickenbacker Marina, Nixon Sandbar is about 20 minutes each way.
Felipe’s tip: each marina we sail from has an iconic local favorite by the water: Monty’s at Miami Beach Marina, Casablanca on the Bay next to Venetian Marina & Yacht Club, and the Rusty Pelican at Rickenbacker Marina. Near the sandbar, Boater’s Grill on No Name Harbor in Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park is another local favorite. Ask when you book.
6. Know what is included
Yacht charters include a USCG-licensed captain, fuel for your booked hours and dockage. Gratuity is not included; we suggest 15 to 22% based on service. Bring food and drinks in soft-sided coolers. Guests 21 and older may bring alcohol with valid photo ID. Each tour page lists exactly what is on board.
7. Marina and the day
We use licensed commercial marinas, including Miami Beach Marina, Venetian Marina & Yacht Club and Rickenbacker Marina. Your exact marina, arrival time and captain contact come in your booking confirmation. Arrive 30 minutes early with photo ID. Our Lenox Avenue address is an admin office, not a place to board. Your captain adjusts the route for wind, traffic and Coast Guard safety zones.
